Mother's Day

The children worked very hard last week in order to make Mother's Day presents for their mummies. We hoped the mum´s enjoyed their children's lovely work, made with love and some help.

Pets! Pets! Pets!

Now that we have learned many things about plants and growing, we are ready to learn about animals and pets. The children have told us what pets they have, would like to have, like and don't like.

The children are also learning about where different animals live and what they need to live. Some of the children built homes for their real or "imaginary" pets.

Last week the 10th of May, the nursery children and the parents had the opportunity to bring in their pets to show the children. Some of out pets, had four legs, tails, shells...........

At the end of the day, when we thought we had seen all the pets our Nursery class have, a Varanus Giganteus arrived........

The children were fascinated by what the Varanus could eat at one sitting..........12 chicks or rats!!!!

Those of us who could not bring in our "real pets" brought in pictures to show and talk about.

Our topic this trimestre is Planting, Growing and Animals

Today the 2nd of May, the children had the chance to see, touch and learn about a  varied range of amphibians and reptiles.
The children were shown a tortoise. Many of our students have turtles and tortoises at home.

Then the children were shown  a bearded lizard.
